Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE with Exynos 2400 chip

Samsung has expanded its foldable smartphone lineup with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a new Fan Edition model released at the same time as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 flagships. Despite the new name, the device is much the same as last year’s Flip 6, offering a familiar design with updated hardware and a focus on affordability.
Familiar design – new platform
Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE gets the same 6.7-inch internal display with adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz as the Flip 6. The outer screen, a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED panel, is also unchanged. Unlike the standard version of the Flip 7, the FE model doesn’t have an enlarged edge-to-edge screen: it’s this feature that has become the main exterior difference between the two devices in 2025.
Samsung has limited itself to two colors for the Flip 7 FE: black and white. No pastel shades, no gradient solutions – the focus is on simplicity and restraint.

Cameras: betting on the proven
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE’s cameras are virtually identical to its predecessor and include:
- 50MP main camera
- 12MP ultra-wide-angle
- 10MP front-facing camera
The FlexCam mode lets you shoot photos and videos in a semi-unfolded state, without having to hold your smartphone in your hands. It’s great for vlogs, social media, and self-portraits. It’s also great for portraits, providing soft backgrounds and a pronounced bokeh effect.

I&I features and data protection
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE integrates Galaxy AI’s proprietary AI tools, including Generative Edit and Edit Suggestions, features for editing photos without re-shooting. The smartphone is powered by One UI 8, based on Android 16, and inherits all the latest data security features.

The main improvement is the Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) system, which creates encrypted storage areas for individual apps. This means that each application sees only its own data, eliminating leaks. There’s also Knox Matrix support to protect multiple Galaxy devices in a single ecosystem.

The new features include quantum-resistant cryptography in the Secure Wi-Fi module, providing enhanced privacy even on public networks. All AI features, including Live Translate and Call Assist, work within local storage without transferring personal data to the cloud.
Hardware platform: now on Exynos
In place of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 like the Flip 6, the newcomer gets an Exynos 2400 chip – the same one found in the international version of the Galaxy S24. While Snapdragon still leads the pack in terms of performance, for everyday use there’s little difference.
- 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage
- 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage
The 4,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support gives a 50% charge in 30 minutes. According to Galaxy Z Flip 6 tests, battery life is up to 16 hours of web surfing, 9 hours of video streaming or 10 hours of mobile gameplay. The figures are expected to remain at the same level, although the final figures for the Exynos 2400 have yet to be confirmed in tests.
So far, the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s battery life is expected to remain at the same level.

Connectivity and interfaces with no surprises
The FE variant supports all standard connectivity technologies: 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4. No additional modules or unusual solutions – Samsung focused on a stable base and balanced functionality.
