Razer unveiled the DeathAdder V4 Pro mouse with optical scroller

The new DeathAdder V4 Pro is lighter, has touch scrolling and a polling rate of up to 8000 Hz.
Razer has announced the DeathAdder V4 Pro wireless gamer mouse. The new mouse replaces last year’s V3 Pro and features a number of notable technical improvements. Among the key ones are optical scroll sensor, lightweight housing and support for polling up to 8000 Hz both wirelessly and wirelessly. The retail price is $169.99. Pre-orders are now open and will begin shipping on July 24.
Optical Switches and New Scroll
The DeathAdder V4 Pro features Razer’s optical switches for the main buttons with a claimed 100 million clicks. It’s the company’s first mouse to feature an optical scroll sensor instead of a mechanical scroll. According to the manufacturer, it’s three times more reliable and provides a consistent tactile feel even under heavy loads.
8000Hz polling rate and ultra-lightweight body
The model has support for second-generation HyperSpeed Wireless and can operate at polling rates up to 8000Hz in both wireless and wired modes. However, maximum battery life of up to 150 hours can only be achieved at 1000Hz.

The mouse’s sensor supports resolutions up to 45,000 DPI, which is especially relevant for cyber sports disciplines where accuracy and speed are important. It weighs 56 grams for the black version and 57 grams for the white version – Razer emphasizes that color affects weight.
Ergonomics and compatibility
Like previous versions of the lineup, the DeathAdder V4 Pro is designed in an asymmetrical, right-handed-oriented body. The device retains a slightly larger size, making it comfortable for users with large palms and full grip enthusiasts.
Availability
The mouse is already available for pre-order on Razer’s official website. The first shipments are expected on July 24, 2025.
