Production of Tenet T7 crossovers launched at former VW plant in Kaluga

AGR Holding has started serial production of new brand Tenet cars. The first model was a compact crossover T7, which is produced at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga. The plant was taken over by AGR in 2023.

Full assembly cycle and modernized equipment

The production of the Tenet T7 is organized on a full production cycle – with welding and painting of bodies. For the project, the welding shop inherited from VW was completely rebuilt and the paint line was modernized.

The plant has introduced cataphoresis treatment and multilayer coating technologies to provide long-lasting protection for the bodywork against through corrosion.

Before mass production began, 200 test bodies were made, of which 50 were turned into pre-production prototypes.

Sales Launch and Specifications

Sales of the Tenet T7 will start in the coming weeks. The model will be powered by a 1.6-liter 150 hp turbo gasoline engine, a seven-speed robotized transmission and front-wheel drive.
