MWC 2025: Tecno unveils SpectraVision camera

The Tecno company continues to delight with innovation at MWC 2025. After announcing its new devices, the brand unveiled the SpectraVision Camera, an advanced mobile photography technology designed to deliver the most accurate color reproduction possible.

The new product is based on a 2-megapixel color sensor that analyzes light in nine spectral bands, providing:

  • Better accuracy of skin tones;
  • More realistic images even in difficult lighting conditions.

Tecno claims this technology is far superior to traditional 4-channel RGGB and RYYB sensors.

Tecno Imaging Matrix and Universal Tone

SpectraVision Camera works in conjunction with Tecno’s new algorithms:

• • • Tecno Imaging Matrix (TIM) is an intelligent system that reconstructs colors with accuracy close to human perception.
    • Tecno Universal Tone is a software engine that provides natural skin tones in photos.

When to expect the first smartphone with a new camera?

Tecno has yet to reveal which device will be the first to receive the SpectraVision Camera, but rumors suggest that this smartphone could be the Camon 40 Premier. Its full unveiling will take place tomorrow at MWC 2025.
