Honor Magic V5: leaked specs

Honor is preparing to launch a new foldable flagship called Magic V5, and the smartphone has already passed CMIIT certification in China. The device with model number MHB-AN10, judging by leaks, will get a battery with a minimum capacity of 5950 mAh, which is expected to match the typical capacity of 6100 mAh.
If confirmed, the Magic V5 will have 20 percent more battery life than the previous model, which was already considered one of the longest-lasting foldable smartphones.
In addition, the new model will outperform the upcoming vivo X Fold5, which is expected to have a 6,000mAh battery. According to insider comments, the Magic V5 will offer 100mAh more than the vivo.

The increase in battery capacity is unsurprising given that more and more Chinese manufacturers are moving to silicon-carbon (Si/C) cells, which provide greater energy density without increasing volume. That said, Honor is rumored to manage to keep the body thin: the device will be thinner than 9mm when folded. That’s a noticeable improvement over the Magic V3, which was 9.2mm thick.
Official details from Honor have not yet been forthcoming, but based on leaks, the Magic V5 could be one of the most balanced foldable smartphones on the market – with a focus on both autonomy and portability.
