Google officially released the NotebookLM app for the Android platform a day before the Google I/O 2025 conference, and also announced its imminent launch for iOS, which is expected on Tuesday.

The app is designed to help you understand complex information through features such as intelligent summaries and the ability to ask questions about documents and other materials.

Audio reviews – NotebookLM podcasts created with AI based on raw data – are available for users. The app has support for background playback and offline access to audio reviews.

Users can also create new notebooks, view already created notebooks, and upload new sources from their devices. The app supports light and dark modes, which are automatically applied based on the device’s system settings.
