Edifier introduced the M330 II Bluetooth speaker with LDAC and AirPlay 2 support

Edifier has officially released the new M330 II Bluetooth speaker in China. Priced at 959 yuan (about $138), the new speaker features a number of notable improvements over the previous generation, including LDAC codec support, Apple AirPlay 2, and longer battery life.
The M330 II Bluetooth speaker is the first Bluetooth speaker to be released in China.
TheEdifier M330 II is positioned as a portable wireless speaker for a variety of usage scenarios and features retro styling. It’s available in three colors: wood, black walnut, and pearl white. The body is made entirely of wood (12mm MDF) and features a two-tone fabric grille, piano-style buttons and a hidden handle on the back for easy carrying.
The speaker is a 2.1 speaker system. It includes two reconfigured 1-inch silk-dome tweeters and a 4-inch midrange driver with a wool composite cone. Edifier claims this configuration delivers high frequencies up to 40kHz and meets Hi-Res Audio standards for both wired and wireless connectivity.
There are two Texas Instruments TAS5805 Class D amplifier chips inside. The system delivers up to 60 watts of continuous output power and up to 120 watts of peak power. According to the manufacturer, the speaker is capable of effectively sounding rooms up to 50 square meters in size.

In terms of wireless capabilities, the M330 II supports LDAC up to 990kbps and 24-bit / 96kHz audio, as well as Bluetooth 5.4 with dual-device connectivity. For Apple tech users, there’s AirPlay 2 support over dual-band Wi-Fi. Wired connectivity options include AUX, USB in sound card mode and USB for charging.
The built-in 38.48Wh (7.4V, 5200mAh) lithium battery provides up to 14 hours of playback at moderate volume, and about 11 hours at higher loads.
The speaker works with the Edifier Connect app, which lets you adjust EQ, switch sources, update firmware, and set timers. It measures 250 × 162 × 179 mm.
