ONYX BOOX Palma 2 Pro continues the series of compact readers in a smartphone form factor with a 6.13-inch display. It features an E Ink Kaleido 3 color screen with stylus support, 8GB of RAM, Android 15 operating system and a SIM card slot. The device went on sale at a price of 48,990 rubles in black and white color cases.

E Ink color screen with stylus support
ONYX BOOX Palma 2 Pro features a 6.13-inch E Ink Kaleido 3 color display capable of displaying up to 4096 colors. The screen resolution is 824×1648 in black and white and 412×824 in color mode. The model has a built-in MOON Light 2 backlight with smooth color temperature control and no flicker. In addition to the usual capacitive touch control, the reader has an additional Metal Mesh layer that allows you to take notes and draw with an optional stylus. The SNOW Field (Regal) feature significantly reduces the number of artifacts on the screen during partial redrawing. ONYX Glass protects the screen from scratches and other damage. The built-in position sensor automatically rotates the screen for portrait or landscape reading.


Performance Platform on Android 15
The reader’s hardware platform is based on a state-of-the-art 8-core processor and 8GB of RAM, enough to keep the device running at a comfortable speed. 128GB of non-volatile memory allows you to store a huge number of books and documents on the reader. Built-in Wi-Fi module, working in the ranges of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, gives the opportunity to use various online services, including a browser, translator and network libraries. The Bluetooth 5.1 module allows you to connect wireless headphones, speakers and other accessories. The device has a SIM card slot and supports mobile internet – data only, voice calls are not supported. The USB Type-C connector supports OTG function, allowing you to connect various external devices such as a USB drive, keyboard, card reader and more. Built-in speakers allow you to listen to audiobooks and music, while the microphone can record voice memos. There’s extra splash protection, and the power button has a fingerprint scanner to protect your personal data.



Functional software
The reader’s software is based on the Android 15 operating system and allows you to install and use third-party apps, such as those from the built-in Google Play store. The built-in player lets you listen to music and audiobooks, and Text-To-Speech lets you voice text files. It is possible to use dictionaries to translate foreign words directly while reading. In addition, you can use an online translator for an entire piece of text by selecting it while reading. The built-in reading program NeoReader supports most popular book formats, including PDF and DjVu. The application features automatic and manual margin trimming, supports Reflow text conversion, contrast adjustment and line thickness increase for better display of non-adapted documents. You can save quotes, bookmark, and annotate while reading, including using the stylus.
Compact case with camera
The reader is designed in a super-compact case that is 8 millimeters thick, while the device weighs only 175 grams. The 1:2 aspect ratio makes it look as close to a smartphone as possible. On the side edges of the reader there are control buttons, the functions of which can be configured to flip pages or other actions. ONYX BOOX Palma 2 Pro is equipped with a built-in camera with a matrix of 16 MP and has special software with OCR technology that allows you to scan and recognize text information. It works with a unique hybrid technology case.
