Lenovo is preparing Legion Y700 2026 tablet with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor

Lenovo is preparing to release a new Legion Y700 2026 gaming tablet, which, according to a leak by insider Digital Chat Station, will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The processor previously made its debut in the Honor Magic Pad 3 Pro tablet, which was the first device in the world to feature the chip.

According to the source, the Lenovo Legion Y700 2026 will get a compact 8.8-inch LCD display with 3K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate. A system with an evaporation chamber and a larger heat dissipation area will be used to cool the performance chip.

The battery capacity will be 9,000 mAh, but there’s no word yet on fast charging support. The tablet is expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2026.

The new model will be the successor to the Legion Y700 (fourth generation), which was unveiled in China in May this year. It also has an 8.8-inch screen with 3K (1904×3040 pixels) resolution at 165Hz, a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage.

The current version of the tablet features a 7,600mAh battery with 68W fast charging, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, JBL stereo speakers, and two USB-C ports.

Lenovo Legion Y700 2026 promises to be the brand’s most powerful compact gaming tablet yet and one of the first devices on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
