Casio unveiled a limited edition G-Shock MRG-B2000KT-3A watch inspired by Japanese sword art

Casio has launched a new limited edition G-Shock MRG-B2000KT-3A watch inspired by traditional Japanese sword art in Japan. Only 800 pieces will be made, and each one is hand decorated by master metalsmith Masao Kobayashi.

All 800 pieces will be made, and each one is hand-embellished by master metalsmith Masao Kobayashi.

The design of the watch is based on the image of a tsuba, a guard between the blade and the hilt of a sword that serves not only as a protective but also as a decorative element. The bezel is decorated with an image of a phoenix in the Shishi-Aibori chasing method. The phoenix, a symbol of peace and prosperity, is carved by hand with a hammer and chisel, making each piece unique. The bezel is made of titanium with a green DLC coating that mimics the color of “kuroganeiro”, a black iron characteristic of the blacksmith’s art. Four emeralds, symbolizing wisdom and spiritual power, are set into the screws of the bezel.
