Lenovo is preparing an iPad mini competitor – Legion Y700 (4th generation) with flagship specifications

Lenovo has shared the first details about its upcoming Legion Y700 (4th generation) tablet on Chinese social network Weibo. The device is positioned as a direct competitor to the iPad mini and offers a number of improvements aimed at gamers and multimedia enthusiasts.

Lenovo has also revealed details of its upcoming Legion Y700 (4th generation) tablet.

Flagship performance and 16:10 display

The new model will get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, one of the most powerful processors for Android devices to date. It promises great performance, especially in graphics-intensive games. The Legion Y700 features an 8.8-inch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, which gives you more space than the iPad mini and makes the tablet comfortable for both gaming and watching videos.

Efficient cooling and lightweight case

The large 12,000 mm² copper evaporation chamber is used to dissipate heat during heavy loads. The body remains compact and easy to use with one hand, with a width of 128.5 mm and a height of 207.58 mm. The weight is 340 grams – slightly more than Apple’s tablet, but still within the lightweight category.

Memory, battery life, and gamer chips

Users will be able to get configurations with 12 or 16GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of onboard storage. The tablet will also get a microSD card slot, a rarity in modern models. A 7,600 mAh battery with 68W fast charging support is responsible for battery life. Other features include two linear vibration motors along the X-axis for improved gaming performance.

An iOS alternative with an open ecosystem

The Legion Y700 (4th generation) will be a great choice for those looking for a powerful and portable tablet, but don’t want to be limited by Apple’s ecosystem. An official announcement is expected soon.
