iPad Air with OLED display will be released in 2026

The iPad Air lineup underwent a minor refresh earlier this year, getting new 11-inch and 13-inch models with Apple’s M2 chip. Both models continue to feature Liquid Retina IPS LCD displays.

A new report from South Korea claims that the Air lineup should get an OLED display upgrade in 2026. According to TheElec , Samsung Display is positioned to be the primary supplier of screens for the next-generation iPad Air, which will be single-layer OLED displays rather than the tandem OLED displays used in the latest iPad Pro models.

Analogous leak that hit the web last year also confirmed a 2026 launch date. In addition to the iPad Air models, an iPad Mini with an 8.7-inch OLED display is also expected.
