Honor unveiled the MagicPad 3 12.5 with 165Hz screen and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor

Honor has launched the MagicPad 3 12.5 tablet — a compact and more affordable version of the MagicPad 3 Pro model. The new product retains the flagship specs with a smaller size and weight. Honor MagicPad 3 12.5 features a 12.5-inch 3:2 IPS LCD display with a resolution of 3048×2032 pixels (294 PPI) and a screen-to-body area ratio of 89%. The refresh rate reaches 165 Hz with seven available levels: 165, 144, 120, 90, 60, 48 and 30 Hz. Brightness reaches 700 nits in standard mode and 1000 nits in HDR, contrast ratio — 1500:1. The tablet is powered by an eight-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor (1×Cortex-X4 3.3GHz, 3×Cortex-A720 3.2GHz, 2×Cortex-A720 3.0GHz and 2×Cortex-A520 2.3GHz). The device comes with MagicOS 9.0.1 shell based on Android 15 and will get an update to MagicOS 10 on Android 16. The MagicPad 3 12.5’s main camera is 13MP (f/2.0, autofocus), the front camera — 8MP (f/2.2). Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are supported, as well as LDAC and aptX Adaptive audio codecs for enhanced wireless audio. The tablet features a 10,100mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging via USB-C. The body is made of aluminum, the device is — 5.88 mm thick and weighs about 528 g. Available colors include silver, black, green and purple. In China, the Honor MagicPad 3 12.5 is available in versions with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage for ¥2699 (about $380) and 12GB for ¥2999 (about $420). A stylus and keyboard are sold separately. Global release plans for the tablet have not yet been announced. In addition to the tablet, Honor also unveiled the Magic 8 series of smartphones in China, featuring the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
