The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 was revealed thanks to the device’s appearance on the EEC certification platform two weeks ago. Soon after, a well-known Digital Chat Station insider shared key details about the new product. According to the leaks, the Mix Flip 2 will debut in the first half of 2025 and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, an improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset found in the original Mix Flip.

Expanded battery capacity
Another significant tweak has to do with the battery. According to an insider, the Mix Flip 2 will get a 5,600-5,700 mAh battery. That’s a marked improvement over the 4,780mAh battery used in the first version of the device.

But Xiaomi has managed to achieve this without increasing the size or thickness of the body. On the contrary, the Mix Flip 2 will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. As a reminder, the original Mix Flip has a body thickness of 7.6mm and weighs around 190 grams.
What remains in question
This is just preliminary data for now, which is subject to change. There’s no confirmation from Xiaomi yet, so it’s worth taking this information with caution.
