Vivo X300 will get a 200MP main camera and a periscopic module

Vivo is gearing up to unveil the X300 series of flagship smartphones in October. The company has already started revealing key specifications, and today product manager Han Boxiao officially confirmed details of the Vivo X300’s main camera. More information about the other sensors was revealed by insider Digital Chat Station.
Vivo X300 main camera
The main feature of the new product will be a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB sensor, an exclusive version of the HP9 created specifically for Vivo. The letter “B” in the name indicates the use of a unique blue filter.

The 1/1.4-inch module supports shooting at a 23mm focal length and 200MP resolution, as well as a 50mm mode with 50MP. The camera is equipped with CIPA 4.5 level optical image stabilization. Additionally, blue glass and Zeiss T* coating are used to reduce glare and ghosting. This camera replaces the Sony IMX921 sensor used in the Vivo X200.
Periscope and ultra-wide module
According to Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X300’s periscopic telephoto lens is based on a 1/2-inch Sony IMX885 sensor and features a triple optical zoom lens (70mm). In contrast to the “ship” design, the company uses a scheme with a reflective prism. Macro mode shooting through the telephoto lens is also supported.

The system is complemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. According to rumors, it could be based on Samsung’s JN1 or JN5 sensor.
Vivo X300 Pro version
The flagship X300 Pro version, according to leaks, will get a 50MP Sony LYT-828 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle module, and a 200MP periscopic camera.

Release date and processor
The Vivo X300 and X300 Pro are expected to be the first smartphones based on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. They will be unveiled in October in China.
