The new Porsche Macan will have artificial intelligence

Porsche has announced an update to the Macan electric crossover, due out in spring 2026. The main changes will affect digital services, driver assistance features and vehicle interaction systems.
Digital keys and new technologies
Macan will get support for digital key technology. Owners will be able to unlock and start the car using iOS and Android smartphones without taking them out of their pocket. This will be possible thanks to a combination of NFC, BLE and UWB.
Automatic driving features are also being introduced. Among them are “trained parking,” which will record and replay preformed parking actions, and an advanced rear-wheel assist system. The latter will enable the crossover to automatically retrace the route it took when traveling forward.

Multimedia Games and Entertainment
The AirConsole app will be integrated into the Macan’s multimedia system. It will allow smartphones to be used as controllers and run games on the center display. The games will only be available to the driver in parking mode, while passengers will be able to use them on the move.
Artificial Intelligence and Voice Control
Special attention is being paid to updating the voice assistant. Artificial intelligence algorithms will be introduced into the system, which should improve the accuracy and convenience of voice control.

Availability and sales
The refreshed Porsche Macan is already available for pre-order. The official start of sales is scheduled for spring 2026.
