Vivo V50e officially unveiled with 120Hz screen, Sony camera, and 90W charging

The smartphone was announced through the brand’s official channels and its key features include a 120Hz display curved on four sides, a powerful camera and fast charging. Vivo V50e has a thin and light body that’s only 7.39mm thick and weighs 186 grams. The device is IP68/69 certified for water and dust resistance. The front is occupied by a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits in localized areas.

The hardware backbone of the smartphone is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, complemented by 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and the option to add another 8GB of virtual RAM. Storage capacity – 128 or 256 GB, the type of memory – UFS 2.2. A 5,600mAh battery with 90W fast charging support is responsible for battery life.
The front camera is a 50-megapixel sensor with autofocus for crisp selfies and portraits. The main module on the back is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 camera with optical stabilization (OIS), complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and Aura Light LED flash.
The smartphone runs FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15. The manufacturer promises three Android updates and four years of security updates. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB Type-C port, an under-screen fingerprint scanner, and stereo speakers.
The Vivo V50e is priced at $340 in India for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version, and $360 for the 8+256GB variant. The smartphone will be available in two colors – Sapphire Blue and Pearl White. Pre-orders will start today and sales will begin from April 17 on Vivo’s official website, Flipkart, and retail stores.
