Vivo V50: leaked renders

Vivo’s next big product is likely to be the V50 smartphone, which many believe is simply a renamed version of the Vivo S20. The latter debuted in China last year, so if those speculations are confirmed, the V50’s specs won’t come as a surprise.
According to a fresh official render that’s leaked online, there’s a good chance that the Vivo V50 and S20 are indeed the same device. Unfortunately, the image only shows the back of the smartphone, but you can see that the model will get new color variants.

The new “Pink Red” shade inspired by Indian wedding traditions is getting special attention, which hints at the company’s serious plans to conquer the Indian market. The leak also reveals some of the smartphone’s specs: chipset, front camera and battery.

If the V50 does turn out to be a renamed S20, we should expect a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1260 x 2800 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and protective glass.
Possible memory options could include 8/256GB, 12/256GB, 12/512GB and 16/512GB. The main camera will likely be dual: 50 MP main + 8 MP ultra-wide, as well as a circular LED flash.

Battery mystery
One oddity is the Vivo V50’s claimed battery capacity of 6,000 mAh, which looks modest compared to the Vivo S20’s 6,500 mAh battery. This hints at possible differences between the models, despite the similar specs.
