Vivo has unveiled the S30 series of smartphones

Vivo has officially announced the S30 series of smartphones in China, with two devices – the standard Vivo S30 and the more compact S30 Pro Mini. Both smartphones rely on a striking design, advanced photo capabilities and extended battery life, while offering flagship-level performance at a mid-segment price. The lineup has also received cinematic features and triple-standard outdoor protection.

The S30 Pro Mini and the S30 S30 Pro Mini are also available in a range of different models.

Bright displays with high PWM rate and next-generation AMOLED matrix

Vivo S30 features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and ultra-high 3840Hz PWM frequency. Brightness reaches a record-breaking 5000 nits, and the BOE Q10 matrix delivers rich colors and crisp images. The S30 Pro Mini has a slightly smaller 6.31-inch screen, but also features LTPO AMOLED technology, with a PWM frequency of 4320Hz for greater comfort during prolonged use.

Flagship performance even in a compact model

Vivo S30 is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with Adreno 722 graphics, delivering stable performance in everyday tasks and games. The S30 Pro Mini, on the other hand, gets a top-of-the-line MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor with up to 3.4GHz and Immortalis-G720 graphics. The company claims the smartphone is capable of 119.8 frames per second in games like Honor of Kings.

The 50 MP front camera supports autofocus, soft lighting and distortion correction. The Pro Mini gets an optional “Clear Portrait Texture” algorithm that enhances facial detail in photos.

The two models offer “Classic Negative” and “Hitchcock Zoom Live” modes – 3-second videos with dynamic background movement while the focus is fixed on the subject.

It’s the first smartphone in the world to receive triple SGS certification for dust, water and shock resistance.
