Vivo S20’s processor is revealed thanks to a benchmark

After the flagship X200 series, Vivo is moving on to launch the S20 lineup, targeting the mid-range segment. The Vivo S20 and S20 Pro are expected to debut in China at the end of November.

Performance and processor

The Vivo S20 model with the number V2429A has passed tests on the Geekbench platform, demonstrating:

  • 1222 points in the single-core test,
  • 3417 points in the multi-core test.

The device is equipped with a processor with clock frequencies:

  • One main core at 2.63 GHz,
  • Three mid cores at 2.40 GHz,
  • Four energy-efficient cores at 1.8 GHz.

This is in line with the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Combined with 16GB of RAM and the Android 15 operating system, the device promises excellent performance.

  • Screen: 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution.
  • Main Camera: Dual camera module with 50 MP main sensor and 8 MP secondary sensor.

  • Support for 90W wired charging.
  • No wireless charging, but an under-screen fingerprint scanner is expected.

According to leaks from 3C and TENAA databases, the Vivo S20 will be available in configurations:

  • RAM: 8GB, 12GB and 16GB,
  • Storage: from 128GB to 1TB.

Launch Date and Competition

The Vivo S20 is expected to be released on November 28, 2024, right after the competitive Oppo Reno 13, scheduled for November 25.

With this set of specs, the Vivo S20 promises to be a strong player in the mid-range smartphone segment.
