Vivo X Fold 5: specs and expectations
Preliminary reports suggest that the X Fold 5 will be lighter than the previous X Fold 3 model, which weighed 219 grams. According to a leak from XpertPick, the new smartphone weighs just 209 grams. The device will be 4.3mm thick when unfolded and 9.33mm thick when folded.
The Vivo X Fold 5 will thus be the lightest foldable smartphone in the world. In comparison, the Oppo Find N5 weighs 229 grams and is 4.2mm thick when unfolded and 8.9mm thick when folded. At the same time, it’s expected that the upcoming Honor Magic V5, scheduled to debut in June, could surpass the X Fold 5 in terms of thickness: insiders suggest the Magic V5 will be just 8mm thick when folded.
According to the latest reports, the Vivo X Fold 5 will get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. That could make it more affordable than the Oppo Find N5 with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip or the Honor Magic V5, which is based on the same platform.
