Tecno Camon 30S smartphone is officially unveiled

It’s powered by the Helio G100 chip and offers multiple configurations: 6GB or 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB or 256GB of storage. One of the Camon 30S’s standout features is its curved 6.78-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate that delivers smooth images and vivid colors. The screen supports peak brightness up to 1,300 nits, uses PWM dimming at 2,160 Hz for eye comfort and is a 10-bit panel with full coverage of DCI-P3 color space. The phone is protected by Gorilla Glass, but its exact version is not yet specified. The Camon 30S is also IP53 dust and water resistant.

The rear panel houses a 50MP main camera utilizing Sony’s IMX896 (1/1.56″) sensor with OIS. Combined with a 2MP depth sensor and dual LED flash, it delivers decent performance in a variety of lighting conditions. On the front, the Camon 30S features a 13MP selfie camera.

The device also boasts stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos for immersive sound, although the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack may disappoint some users. Another change — reduced charging speed: the Camon 30S has a 33W fast charging capability, compared to 70W for the original Camon 30. However, the battery capacity remains the same — 5,000 mAh.
