What is the Redmi A5 4G?
Redmi A5 4G is a continuation of the A3 Pro and A4 lineup. It gets a 6.88-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Supposedly, it is an LCD matrix with 720p+ resolution. Compared to previous models, the front camera has improved – it is now an 8MP sensor, while its predecessors had 5 MP. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
At the back, the smartphone has a 32MP main camera, though earlier in the lineup there were 50MP modules. AI features are mentioned, but it’s not yet clear what exactly they are.

Performance and battery life
The smartphone gets a 5200mAh battery, like the A3 Pro and A4 models. It supports 18W charging, but only comes with a 15W adapter.

Preliminary information suggests that the Redmi A5 4G is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor. It’s a 4G chip with two Cortex-A75 (1.8GHz) and six Cortex-A55 (1.6GHz) cores, and Mali-G57 (850MHz) is responsible for the graphics. Performance is close to the Helio G81 Ultra used in the A3 Pro, but inferior to the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 of the Redmi A4, which also has 5G support.
Price and possible rebranding
Redmi A5 4G is available in two variants:
- 4/64GB – BDT 11,000 (~$90 / €83 / ₹7,850)
- 6/128GB – BDT 13,000 (~$106 / €98 / ₹9,280)
The prices are the same as the previous Redmi A3 model (not the Pro version). It is also reported that the Redmi A5 may be released in some regions under the name Poco C71.
