realme GT 8 Pro goes on sale in Russia

On December 2, 2025, realme announced the launch of the realme GT 8 Pro in Moscow. The model combines flagship performance based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, advanced photography capabilities with a camera co-developed with Ricoh GR, a 200-megapixel telephoto lens, a 7,000 mAh battery and a new design with interchangeable camera decors.

Performance and autonomy

The launch of the realme GT 8 Pro was an important step for both the GT lineup and the flagship segment. It’s the first smartphone in Russia to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, made using TSMC’s 3nm process technology. It is complemented by the Hyper Vision+ AI neural module designed to improve graphics and image processing.

The processor part is built on third-generation Qualcomm Oryon cores clocked up to 4.6GHz. Performance is up 20% and power efficiency is up 35% over the previous generation. Hyper Vision+ AI enables resolution up to 2K and refresh rates up to 144Hz in games through parallel processing with the GPU.

The realme AI Gaming Super Frame technology maintains stable frame rates in popular games including MLBB. According to the company, the device can handle running two resource-intensive games simultaneously – like PUBG in the foreground and Genshin Impact in the background – while maintaining stable FPS for up to an hour*.

The 7000mAh battery supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The proportion of silicon in the anode has been increased from 10% to 16%, increasing capacity without changing the size of the case. A separate control chip monitors temperature and optimizes the bypass charging mode to reduce heating.

The 120W charge restores 50% capacity in 15 minutes and a full charge in 43 minutes. A single charge is enough for more than 20 hours of video watching or about 8 hours of gaming.

The realme GT 8 Pro camera and collaboration with Ricoh GR

The main sensor is a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX906. The pixel size is 1µm, the aperture is f/1.8, and there’s dual-axis optical stabilization. The lens is made up of seven elements with anti-reflective coating, which reduces the likelihood of backlighting.

The Ricoh GR mode includes elements of the proprietary interface: a distinctive shutter sound, watermark and activation button. Fixed-distance Viewfinder and Snap Focus modes are also available, as well as the classic Ricoh GR focal lengths of 28mm and 40mm.

The Ricoh GR mode also features Ricoh’s signature interface elements: a special shutter sound, watermark and activation button.

The five color modes – Standard, Positive Film, Negative Film, Monotone and High-Contrast B&W – are based on Ricoh’s color expertise. Users can create and share their own Tone Recipes profiles.

200-megapixel telephoto lens

The telephoto lens is the first realme module with 200MP resolution. It is based on a 1/1.56-inch Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor, with 0.5µm pixel and 16-in-1 merging to 2µm, f/2.6 aperture and dual-axis stabilization. The camera delivers high light sensitivity and preserves detail when shooting distant subjects in challenging conditions, including night scenes and motion.
