Realme prepares to launch Narzo 80 Pro and Narzo 80x with new Dimensity chips

Realme will launch two new smartphones from the Narzo lineup in India in early April. Narzo 80 Pro and Narzo 80x will get fresh chipsets from MediaTek, impressive batteries and performance specs – all in an affordable price segment.

Release date and positioning of the models

The official premiere of Realme Narzo 80 Pro and Narzo 80x in India will be April 9, 2025. The company has already confirmed the key features of the new products and their price range. For instance, the Narzo 80 Pro is claimed to be “the best gaming smartphone under Rs. 20,000” – that is, less than 20,000 Indian rupees, making it an attractive option for gamers on a tight budget.

The junior Narzo 80x model will be even more affordable – less than Rs. 13,000 – while retaining a host of premium features, including IP69 dust and water resistance.

Realme Narzo 80 Pro specifications

Realme is banking on performance: the Narzo 80 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, as well as a number of parameters typically found in higher-end smartphones:

  • Maximum display brightness – 4500 nits
  • Active liquid cooling with an area of 6050 mm²
  • A 6000 mAh battery with 80W wire charging

The body of the device remains very thin at just 7.5 mm and weighs just 179 grams, making the smartphone comfortable to use on a daily basis despite its powerful hardware.

Realme Narzo 80x: inexpensive but secure

The Narzo 80x is built on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip, offers a similar 6,000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. But that’s not the main feature of the budget model.

  • Sturdy design with military-grade impact protection
  • Waterproof IP69
  • A screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz, which is rare in devices of this price category

So Realme focuses not only on performance, but also on endurance, offering a solution for users who value reliability and autonomy.

Narzo 80x memory and color options

Back in March, the memory configurations and color options of the Narzo 80x appeared on the web. The smartphone, codenamed RMX3944 will be available in the following versions:

  • 6GB + 128GB
  • 8GB + 128GB
  • 12GB + 256GB

There will be two colors to choose from: Sunlit Gold (gold) and Deep Ocean (deep blue).

What this means for the market

The new Narzo 80 series strengthens Realme’s position in the mid-budget smartphone segment, where performance, autonomy and protection are becoming increasingly important selection criteria. With the combination of powerful Dimensity processors, high autonomy and competitive pricing, both models are well positioned for success – both in India and other emerging markets.
