Oppo has unveiled the A5x 5G smartphone

After the recent release of the 4G version of the A5x smartphone, Oppo has officially unveiled a 5G-enabled variant as well. The new product has a fresh design, modern hardware and an emphasis on autonomy and usability in all conditions.

Performance and display

The Oppo A5x 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 15 with ColorOS 15 shell.

The screen has been given a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness of up to 1,000 nits. Although the exact diagonal and resolution are not specified, Oppo emphasizes convenience: Splash Touch and Glove Touch technologies are supported – with them you can control the device with wet or greasy fingers, as well as with gloves.

Cameras and Battery

The main camera of the Oppo A5x 5G has a 32 MP sensor. The front camera is 5 MP. The smartphone has a 6,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, making it a great option for those who value long battery life.

Protection and affordability

The body of the device is IP65 protected and MIL-STD-810H military certified, which means it is resistant to moisture, dust and mechanical stress.

Oppo A5x 5G will go on sale in India on May 25 in Midnight Blue and Laser White colors. It will be priced at 13,999 Indian rupees (roughly $165 / €145).
