MSI unveils Prestige 13 AI+ notebook in the style of Japanese classics

At COMPUTEX 2025, MSI revealed a limited edition version of the Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyo-e Edition notebook. The device combined the art of traditional Japanese lacquer craftsmanship with modern artificial intelligence-based technologies.
Culturally-accented design
The main feature of the notebook is its appearance, inspired by Katsushika Hokusai’s “Great Wave in Kanagawa” print. MSI worked with OKADAYA, a company that has been producing Yamanaki lacquer for 400 years, to design the case. The notebook won the Best Choice Award at COMPUTEX for this project.

Modern hardware inside
The Prestige 13 AI+ is built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V processor and supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The screen is a 13.3-inch OLED with 2.8K resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
Graphics are handled by an integrated Intel Arc 140V GPU. Storage is via a PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. The laptop has an illuminated keyboard and a dedicated Copilot key for quick access to AI functions. Sound is enhanced with DTS technology and a three-microphone system.
Ports, Wireless and Security
The model features two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 (8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz support), and a microSD card reader. Wireless interfaces include Intel’s Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Security features include a Microsoft Pluton chip, fingerprint scanner, camera shutter and dTPM 2.0 module. The laptop weighs just 990 grams, and the 75Wh battery promises excellent battery life with high mobility.
