Oppo Reno 13 Pro: leaked specs

Details about the upcoming Oppo Reno 13 series continue to emerge, fueling interest ahead of a possible launch of the devices on November 25 in China. The series will include two models – Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro. On Chinese platform Weibo, insider Digital Chat Station shared new specs purportedly related to the top-of-the-line Reno 13 Pro.

An insider from Digital Chat Station has shared new specs, presumably related to the top-of-the-line Reno 13 Pro version.

According to the leak, the Reno 13 Pro could be powered by MediaTek’s yet-to-be-announced Dimensity 8350 processor. Previously rumored to be a more powerful Dimensity 9300 chip, but the new information points to a lower-performance processor. This could be a small step back from the previous Reno 12 Pro for the Chinese market, which ran on Dimensity 9200+. According to the insider, the device will be available in a configuration with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage.

Oppo is emphasizing on other aspects of the phone this time around, though. The new product will get a larger 6.83-inch quad curved screen, making it larger than its predecessor. The cameras are likely to remain the same: a 50 MP main camera, an ultra-wide 8 MP, a 50 MP telephoto lens on the back and a 50 MP selfie camera on the front.

The model will also reportedly get improved protection with a metal frame and IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance, a step up from the Reno 12 Pro’s IP65. The new model is expected to support wireless charging, something that wasn’t present in last year’s model, though it’s not yet known if that feature will make it into the final consumer version.
