Nubia Flip 2 unveiled: updated clamshell with an improved external screen
By ForGeeks Nubia has officially unveiled its second foldable smartphone, the Flip 2, in Japan. The new model is an update to the first version, which was released last April. Despite the unexpectedly early release, the Flip 2 has received a number of significant improvements.

Main Changes
The most notable change is the new external screen. Instead of the round display in the original Flip, the company has equipped the Flip 2 with a more familiar rectangular screen. Its diagonal is 3 inches and its resolution is 422 x 682 pixels. This allows you to quickly access notifications and popular apps without having to open your smartphone.

The main display remains the same, a 6.9-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and Full HD+ resolution. At the top of the screen is a 32 MP front-facing camera, perfect for selfies and video calls.

Autonomy and software
The battery capacity is 4300 mAh, and the fast charging technology can restore the charge to 100% in just 55 minutes.
The smartphone runs Android 14, but there’s no information about the update policy yet.
Reliability and security
Nubia Flip 2 has basic water and dust protection: IPX2 (light water splash protection) and IP4X (dust resistance). For added security, the device is equipped with facial recognition and a fingerprint scanner.

Price and affordability
The Nubia Flip 2 costs ¥64,080 (roughly $406 USD) in Japan for the version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone is available in three colors: black, white and blue.
