Opera’s popularity growth in the EU
Opera has reported significant growth in the iOS browser’s audience, especially in the European Union. This is due to the EU’s decision to open up the Apple ecosystem, allowing users to install third-party browsers by default.
In addition, many iOS users interested in AI features are opting for alternative browsers like Opera or Chrome, as Apple’s proprietary AI is not yet available in the EU due to legal and regulatory restrictions.
