Nothing Phone (3) will be released in July: first teasers

Nothing is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Phone (3). It’s been two years since the release of the previous premium model, and now the wait is almost at an end. The first official teaser has already been released, and the announcement date is set for July.

Official teaser and partnership with Flipkart

A tiny snippet of the device’s casing has appeared on Nothing’s X account (formerly Twitter). Details are few, but the image retains the brand’s recognizable style with transparent elements and unusual design. A bit more information came from Flipkart, the company’s longtime partner in India. It was on this platform that the Nothing Phone (2) launched in July 2023, and it looks like the Phone (3) will follow the same path.

Significant price increase – flagship status

Earlier this month, the company’s CEO Carl Pei revealed that the new product will have an estimated price tag of around £800 (roughly ₹92,000). That’s a serious jump from the Nothing Phone (2), which started at £580/₹45,000 for the 8/128GB configuration. From the looks of it, the Phone (3) will be a true flagship with a proper price and specs, although Pei is yet to reveal technical details.

Brand Expectations and Style

Despite the lack of specs details, we can expect the smartphone to retain Nothing’s signature design, perhaps with updated LED backlighting, transparent elements and an improved camera. Given its price positioning, the device should get a flagship processor and advanced features that can compete with top Android devices.

Announcement is coming

Nothing Phone (3) will officially debut in July, and the full specs and features of the device should be revealed closer to the launch date. Judging by the current hints, the company has its sights set on the next level and wants to go beyond «alternative brand» by establishing itself in the true flagship category.
