It looks like Apple is preparing another surprise for users in the iPhone 17 lineup. Previously, a redesigned rear camera unit was reported, but now a new color option inspired by the Liquid Glass visual style from iOS 26 has been revealed.

According to a fresh leak, the iPhone 17 Pro – and possibly the Pro Max model – will come in a white color that mimics the effects of the Liquid Glass interface. The surface of the device will reflect light differently depending on lighting conditions, creating interesting visual effects.

According to the latest leak, the iPhone 17 Pro – and possibly the Pro Max model – will come in a white color that mimics the Liquid Glass interface effects.

On paper, this sounds like a really unusual and fresh solution. While Chinese manufacturers have previously released smartphones with original visual effects, a similar move from Apple looks pretty unique.

And while the device’s surface will reflect light differently depending on the lighting conditions, it will create interesting visual effects.

The new color option is closely related to the visual redesign of iOS 26, which initially looked pretty impressive. However, it turned out that Liquid Glass didn’t always work well on different device configurations. As a result, Apple has drastically toned down the visuals, and now the iOS 26 interface is noticeably less expressive — almost like previous versions.

Even if the iPhone 17 Pro does indeed shimmer beautifully in the new white color, the effect may be partially offset by limited interface options. Still, users will have a choice: the second new coloring for the iPhone 17 Pro is orange.

This vibrant hue, reminiscent of a richer version of Desert Titanium, will finally add a juicy accent to the Pro models’ palette. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to come in sky blue, purple, and green, along with more traditional colors.

If Apple does release a Liquid Glass-inspired iPhone 17 Pro, it’s to be hoped that the company will refine the visual elements of iOS 26 as well, so that the color and interface complement each other – and make the device truly unique.
