OnePlus has unveiled the Pad Go 2 tablet
In conjunction with the announcement of the OnePlus 15R smartphone, the company emphasized on affordable devices and unveiled two new products at once – the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet and the OnePlus Watch Lite smart watch. We’ve already covered the smartphone separately, and now let’s take a closer look at the tablet.
OnePlus Pad Go 2 gets a noticeably larger display – 12.1 inches versus the previous model’s 11.35 inches. The 7:5 aspect ratio remains the same, but the screen is sharper, with pixel density up to 284 ppi. It’s now a higher-quality panel with 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 900 nits of brightness in HBM mode, and Dolby Vision support.

The battery has also been increased. It now has a capacity of 10,500 mAh instead of 8,000 mAh. OnePlus claims that’s enough for 15 hours of video playback and 60 days of standby time. SuperVOOC 33W fast charging is supported, as well as reverse charging.
Performance also got a major upgrade. The Pad Go 2 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300-Ultra processor, which uses a 4nm process. This is a tangible step up from the 6nm Helio G99 in the first Pad Go. The new chip offers more advanced processor cores (A78/A55 instead of A76/A55) and a more powerful Mali-G615 MC2 graphics gas pedal.
MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra is a significant step up from the 6nm Helio G99 in the first Pad Go.
Despite the affordable price, OnePlus has activated the tablet’s proprietary Open Canvas multitasking system. An optional Stylo stylus with low latency and high sensitivity is also available. It supports fast charging – 10 minutes is enough for half a day of use. OxygenOS rounds out the device with a suite of AI features, including AI Writer, AI Recorder, and AI Summary.
OnePlus Pad Go 2 will be available in two colors: Lavender Drift and Shadow Black. The latter variant can be purchased with 5G support – it’s the first OnePlus tablet with a physical SIM tray, which will be an alternative to eSIM. If needed, the tablet can automatically utilize the 5G connection of a nearby OnePlus smartphone. According to the company, this mode of connection is 30% more energy efficient than the usual hotspot mode.
So the OnePlus tablet will be able to automatically use the 5G connection of a OnePlus smartphone nearby.
