Huawei has accidentally revealed the design of the Pura 80 Ultra flagship

While unveiling the new MAEXTRO S800 electric sedan co-developed with JAC, Huawei unexpectedly attracted attention not only for its automotive technology but also for its next smartphone. The CEO of Huawei’s consumer division, He Gang, was spotted with an unreleased device that, judging by the design, belongs to the Pura 80 lineup. Of particular interest was the unusual camera layout, indicating that this is the top-of-the-line Pura 80 Ultra model.

He was seen holding the device, which appears to be a top-of-the-line Pura 80 Ultra.

The new flagship gets a massive triangular dual-periscope camera module, a marked difference from the Pura 70 series. The device features a 1-inch SmartSens SC5A0CS sensor, ultra-wide-angle camera and LED flash. The design follows the signature style of the Pura lineup, with a leather back panel, Huawei logo in the corner and control buttons on the right edge. According to insiders including Fixed Focus Digital, the Pura 80 Ultra will offer a revolutionary video shooting experience.

The random display suggests that Huawei is gearing up for an announcement soon. Pre-orders will reportedly open after the Dragon Boat Festival (June 2), with sales starting in July. The device will run on HarmonyOS 5 and will be a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. This incident confirms the rumors about the imminent release of the Pura 80 Ultra and gives fans a first look at the innovative camera design. We just have to wait for official details from Huawei.
