Huawei unveiled the Mate XTs foldable smartphone with an upgraded Kirin 9020 chipset

Huawei has officially announced its new Mate XTs foldable smartphone, which has received slight improvements over last year’s Mate XT. The exterior design remains the same, you can distinguish the novelty only by the new body colors – purple and white.

The Mate XTs features a 10.2-inch LTPO OLED display with 3K resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits. The screen has a 16:11 aspect ratio, allowing you to place three apps side-by-side at once. Stylus support is retained. When first folded, the smartphone transforms into a device with a 7.9-inch screen, and when fully folded – into a compact 6.4-inch gadget for convenient one-handed use. It measures 3.8mm thick when unfolded and 12.8mm thick when folded, and weighs 298 grams.

The cameras have gotten an upgrade, with a 40 MP ultra-wide-angle module (13mm) now in place, complemented by a 50 MP main camera (24mm) with variable aperture f/1.4 – f/4.0 and a 12 MP periscope with a 125mm focal length.

The main hardware innovation is the switch to the new Kirin 9020 processor, which replaces the Kirin 9010. The same chip is used in the Pura 80 Pro+ and 80 Ultra models. Huawei promises a 36% performance boost over its predecessor. All versions of the Mate XTs are equipped with 16GB of RAM and offer between 256GB and 1TB of onboard storage.

The smartphone runs HarmonyOS 5.1. The 5,600 mAh battery supports 66W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 7.5W reverse charging.
