The HMD Fusion 2 will get the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and a set of new modular accessories
HMD unveiled its modular HMD Fusion smartphone last September along with so-called Fusion Outfits — interchangeable modules that expand the device’s functionality. And while the brand has yet to announce a release date for the HMD Fusion 2, a leak has appeared on the X network revealing some of the novelty’s specs.
According to the source, the HMD Fusion 2 will be powered by the new Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and will get a 6.58-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device’s main camera will have a 108MP resolution and an optical stabilization system (OIS), while an additional ultra-wide-angle camera — 8MP.

Other specs expected include NFC support, Bluetooth 5.3, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, IP65 body protection, and a POGO Pin 2.0 interface for connecting accessories.
With the HMD Fusion 2, the company will also launch an updated line of modular accessories called Smart Outfits Gen 2. It will include the Casual Outfit with stand, Wireless Charge Outfit, Rugged Outfit, Gaming Outfit, Camera Grip Outfit, Flashy Outfit, Speaker Outfit, QR and Barcode Scanner Outfit, and Smart Projector Outfit.
The source clarifies, however, that the next-generation accessories will not be compatible with the previous version of Fusion modules.
