Google Pixel 8 Pro will feature an infrared thermometer on the back, located just below the round LED flash inside the camera protrusion.

It’s no surprise that the thermometer will be able to measure your body temperature. The sensor appears to be similar to the one used in most non-contact thermometers. To use the Pixel 8 Pro thermometer’s sensor, you need to bring it as close to your forehead as possible without letting it touch your skin. Then you simply press the power button and hold the phone to your temple for five seconds. The phone vibrates when the temperature measurement is complete.

The Pixel 8 Pro is expected to be unveiled alongside the Pixel 8 in October, and both are rumored to be powered by the Tensor G3. The Pixel 8 Pro’s screen will reportedly be smaller than the Pixel 7 Pro, at 6.52 inches, and the main camera is said to use Samsung’s largest sensor, the ISOCELL GN2.
