Fairphone unveiled the Fairphone 4 smartphone in September 2021, and it is expected to get a successor soon, as images revealing the smartphone’s design were leaked last month. So far, the company hasn’t revealed anything about the new device, but its launch isn’t far off as the smartphone has appeared on Geekbench with key specs.

Fairphone 4 is expected to be a successor to the Fairphone 4.

The Fairphone 5 runs Android 13 and has 8GB of RAM. However, other memory options are also possible and are yet to be confirmed. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor, which is mentioned as «lahaina» in the «motherboard» section of the Geekbench listing, suggesting it could be a Snapdragon 782G SoC.

The rest of the smartphone’s specs are still unknown, but leaked images have surfaced that show the device will feature a perforated display and dual cameras on the back. The phone will charge via a USB-C port, feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, but won’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
