Asus has discontinued the Zenfone series

Asus launched the Zenfone series in 2014 and thereafter regularly released up to 80 devices under the Zenfone lineup. But it looks like that series may soon be shutting down. A new report from Taiwanese publication TechNews says that the company is discontinuing the Zenfone series. The report quotes people familiar with the situation as saying that Asus is undergoing an organizational restructuring.
The report cites people familiar with the situation as saying that Asus is undergoing an organizational restructuring.

The announcement said that the company is discontinuing its Zenfone division and transferring employees to the ROG Phone division. The restructuring process will also, unfortunately, lead to a reduction in the number of employees in the PC divisions in Taiwan and China. There were plans to transfer some employees to the Zenfone and ROG Phone divisions, but that won’t happen.
