A new report from analysts claims the company is more optimistic about the new product’s prospects.
According to the forecasts, Apple has raised its iPhone Fold shipment target to 8-10 million units in 2026 and 20-25 million in 2027. Previously, 6-8 million and 10-15 million were expected, respectively. So the increase in forecasts is quite significant.

In 2028, Apple will allegedly introduce a foldable iPad as well. However, its sales will be noticeably more modest: between 0.5 million and 1 million units. According to estimates, the company sees the foldable tablet as a niche product, while the iPhone Fold is expected to become a mass-market solution.
It’s also reported that Apple’s Vision Air headset will be released in 2027, designed to address the Vision Pro’s main problems – weight and price. The new model will be 40% lighter and will cost less than half the price of the Pro. The Vision Air is projected to ship about 1 million units in 2027, a marked increase over the Vision Pro, which has only sold about 400,000 units since launch.
