Mediatek Dimensity 9300 will have only powerful cores
By ForGeeks Mediatek confirmed that its next flagship 5G SoC Dimensity will feature the X4 and A720, as well as the Immortalis-G720 GPU, but did not mention the A520. There is no Cortex-A520 in the chipset — the Dimensity 9300 will have an octa-core processor with a 4x Cortex-X4 + 4X Cortex-A720 architecture.
The chip will be built using the N4P process technology. It is a next-generation, advanced 4nm solution that delivers both improved performance and greater power efficiency than N5 and N4 processes.
The Dimensity 9300 will outperform the possible Apple A17 Bionic and also reduce power consumption by 50% compared to «previous generation» according to an insider.”
It’s much more likely that the Dimensity 9300 will have a 1+5+2 configuration, but if Mediatek is really willing to put four supercores in its processor, we could see the beginning of a revolution in chipset development.
