Mediatek Dimensity 9300 has set a new AnTuTu record

Mediatek is expected to release the Dimensity 9300 with a unique octa-core processor, and today the platform appeared in the AnTuTu database. The chip’s score exceeded 2 million points, which is a new high, and the scores of each individual component are also notable.

So far, the chip’s score is notable.

The processor will have 4 Cortex-X4 and 4 Cortex-A720 blocks, probably in a 1+3+4 cluster combination. There are no «small» Cortex-A520 blocks.

And there are no Cortex-A520 blocks.

The device used in this test is unknown, and the model number doesn’t tell us anything — it could be a test bench. 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage were installed in the test, and the OS is — Android 14.

At the time of testing.

Mediatek Dimensity 9300

This result —s the first time we’ve seen a phone break the 2,000,000 point threshold on AnTuTu. Every component far surpasses the score of any Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 — the CPU is 65% better, the GPU — 55% better, the LPDDR5X RAM + UFS 4.0 storage — 33% better, and the user interface — more than 50% better.

And it’s the first time we’ve seen a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone pass the threshold.

All these numbers are — raw hardware performance. The real-world experience is unlikely to be that dramatic unless you get high-end cooling. Mediatek has yet to say when the Dimensity 9300 will be available or which phones will get it first.
