Assus has announced the ROG Astral RTX 5090 Real Gold Edition graphics card. The main difference from its peers is not just gold plating, but a solid gold design: the electronic components are integrated directly into a five-kilogram gold bar.
This extraordinary product was showcased at Bilibili World 2025. The total weight of the case is 7.2 kg, of which 5 kg comes from pure gold. It is not worth expecting the video card to appear on free sale – even based on the current value of gold, the price of the novelty will exceed 500 000 dollars (approximately 39 million rubles).
Before that, ASUS introduced a more affordable version of the ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition with a gold-plated case. Despite its rather high price (over $10 000 dollars – 779 thousand rubles), at least you can buy it.
