Ryzen 9 9950X3D is 16-core Zen 5 with a maximum clock speed of 5.7GHz, equipped with the second generation of 3D V-Cache technology.The Ryzen 9 9900X3D offers 12 cores and a maximum frequency of 5.5 GHz.
The key advantage of 3D V-Cache is the multi-layer cache packing, which allows processors to work more efficiently in games and reduce the load on RAM. The technology was initially used in desktop processors before being adapted for laptops in 2023.

According to data AMD unveiled at the announcement, Ryzen 9 9950X3D outperforms the Intel Core i9-285K by 20% on average across 40 popular games. In some professional applications, the speed increase reaches 10%.

Release date and price
The two processors will go on sale March 12, 2025. Ryzen 9 9950X3D will cost $699, while Ryzen 9 9900X3D will cost $599.
