Sony has unveiled a limited edition DualSense controller in the style of The Last of Us

Sony has announced a limited edition DualSense wireless controller, created in collaboration with Naughty Dog in honor of the iconic franchise The Last of Us. The gamepad will go on sale April 10, 2025, with pre-orders opening as early as March 14. The device will cost $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99.
Unique game-inspired design

The main feature of the limited DualSense is the symbolism referencing both parts of The Last of Us. The controller is adorned with glossy icons in the shape of:
- Firefly – the Rebel emblem from The Last of Us Part I
- The Moth – Ellie’s symbol
- Wolf – references to Abby’s story in The Last of Us Part II
According to Naughty Dog Neil Druckman, the team wanted to “reflect the legacy of both games through symbolic imagery.” Designer Megan Meran added that the icons on the gamepad “convey the emotional depth of the series.”

The controller is black in color, but features white sticks, triggers, and the PlayStation logo. The back panel features a white logo The Last of Us and Sony branding that stands out against the dark background.

The controller’s release will coincide with the release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) April 3, 2025, as well as the premiere of the second season of the HBO series April 13, 2025.
