AMD Ryzen 9800X3D: Specifications and details about the processor have appeared on the network

A week before AMD officially announces the AMD Ryzen 9800X3D, leaked specs and benchmarks of this highly anticipated processor have already flooded the internet. If you’re looking forward to the gaming capabilities of the Ryzen 9000, the latest leaks about the 9800X3D are sure to catch your attention.
AMD has confirmed that the Ryzen 9000X3D lineup will be officially announced on November 7, but information about the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has already been made public. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is a highly anticipated processor because its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, was popular for its high performance and relatively affordable price.
Ryzen 9800X3D Specifications
According to VideoCardz.com based on premature retailer placements, the Ryzen 9800X3D has been given 8 cores and 16 threads, and has a base frequency of 4.7GHz with the ability to overclock to 5.2GHz. This is not only in line with the last generation, but also gives tangible improvements. The model has a heat dissipation of 120W and utilizes 32 + 64MB L3 cache with 3D v-cache, which gives a significant performance boost in gaming.
So far, it’s not just the same as last generation.
It’s notable that leaks indicate that the 9800X3D will support an unlocked multiplier, which will open up system-level overclocking opportunities. Early overclocking tests already show stable performance up to 5.6GHz, with performance gains of 8-23% over the 7800X3D. While the new Intel Core Ultra 9 chips still outperform the 9800X3D in power on primary cores, its compatibility with current AM5 motherboards and out-of-the-box overclocking capability make it an attractive option for system upgrades.
System-level overclocking is an attractive option.
Despite the compelling leaks, however, don’t jump to conclusions until the official announcement next week.
