In today’s video game world, some independent projects get more attention than individual big-budget releases. An example is Mina the Hollower, an old adventure game from the creators of Shovel Knight, which has been delayed.

The Yacht Club Games team has announced that the release date for Mina the Hollower has been pushed back. The game was originally supposed to be released on October 31, but now the release will take place a little later. The developers haven’t announced the exact date yet, but they assured that the wait is not long: the development process is nearing completion, there are still some minor details to be polished and translation into other languages to be finished. A new date will be announced after the final version of the game is sent for certification for consoles.

“This is not a major delay, but simply the time it takes to finalize and balance the game for it to truly shine. As such, we would like to apologize for this!

We will not, however, back down from our commitment to quality assurance. Our goal is to make sure our development team has the time and resources to create an incredible adventure, and we’ll give you just that. These are not empty promises!”

It’s worth remembering that Mina the Hollower is a deliberately old-fashioned isometric action game with eight-bit graphics, designed to make players nostalgic for the heyday of The Legend of Zelda and other cult games of the past.
