Rainbow Six Siege X will be released on June 10 with new mechanics

Ubisoft has unveiled a major update to the tactical shooter with a new mode, redesigned maps, and cheater protection.
June 10 Ubisoft will release Rainbow Six Siege X a major free update for all owners of Rainbow Six Siege on PC and consoles. In addition to visual and gameplay improvements, the game will receive Dual Front mode, a redesigned anti-cheat system, and free access for new players.
Free access and Dual Front mode
With the release of Siege X the game will be available for free in Quick Match, Unranked and Dual Front modes. The latter is 6 on 6, where attack and defense work together, capturing enemy points and defending your own. Respawn is active in the mode, which adds to the dynamics and lowers the entry threshold for newcomers.
Improvements on all fronts
- Modernized maps with updated lighting and textures (5 maps at launch, 3 in each subsequent season);
- New destructible elements – gas pipes, smoke detectors, metal detectors;
- Improved navigation – now you can run on walls with a rappel and turn around on the move;
- Actualized weapons and remastered operatives, starting with Clash as part of Operation Daybreak(also out June 10).
Antichit, reputation and test mode
The R6 ShieldGuard system is now capable of real-time delivering security updates, making it harder for cheaters to operate. Additionally, the game has activated Reputation System, which reduces toxicity and rewards positive behavior.
- New voice and text reporting system
- Punishments for leaving matches and personalized privacy settings;
- Testing Grounds – a separate playlist for experimenting and collecting feedback from the community.

Newbies get their own mode and rewards
For newcomers, Enlisted and Field Training – training modes with bots that replicate the behavior of real players. In-game rewards can be earned for completing training tasks, while experienced players will be able to complete clearance levels more quickly.
There will also be new Onboarding Flow, improved communication via the Team Wheel, Career Statistics Mode, including K.O.S.T. – metrics from cybersports.
What’s in store for seasons 3 and 4
- Season 3: Nighthaven, Lair and Consulate maps; a new Swiss operative; the return of the Halloween event; Weekly Siege Cup
- Season 4: Rainbow Six Siege anniversary; remaster of the attacking operative; first weapon available to multiple operatives at once; Testing Grounds playlist and improvements to the training modes
