New AAA john wick game announced with Keanu Reeves reprising his role

Lionsgate and Saber Interactive have officially announced a new AAA game set in the John Wick universe. While the project doesn’t yet have an official name, it’s confirmed that Keanu Reeves will return to bring the legendary assassin to life-providing both his likeness and voice. The title is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will be a single-player experience, presented from a third-person perspective, and tailored specifically for an adult audience. No release date has been shared so far.

The developers say the new action game will blend the franchise’s signature adrenaline-fueled “gun-fu” combat style featured in the John Wick films with Saber Interactive’s expertise in delivering intense and visually striking gameplay. The project involves franchise director Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves himself, both fully committed to capturing the essence of John Wick.

The story will be original, focusing on a crucial chapter in John Wick’s life, according to game director Jesus Iglesias. Fans can expect familiar faces from the movies alongside brand-new characters created exclusively for the game. Gameplay promises a challenging, fast-paced gun-fu combat system, cinematic camera work, high-energy chase sequences, rich storytelling, and a variety of atmospheric locations.

Saber Interactive is known for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and is currently working on Jurassic Park: Survival and John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. This upcoming John Wick game marks the franchise’s first major gaming venture since 2019’s John Wick Hex, which was recently removed from digital storefronts.
