watchOS 11.4 won’t let you oversleep: Apple will add a punchy mode for the alarm clock

With the release of watchOS 11.4 Apple will introduce a small but extremely useful improvement – now the sleep alarm will be able to go off even when silent mode is enabled. This is an important change in Apple Watch behavior that will help users avoid oversleeping due to a too-quiet alarm.
An important change in Apple Watch behavior that will help users avoid oversleeping due to a too-quiet alarm.
In the current version of watchOS, if Silent Mode is activated, the Apple Watch doesn’t play alarm sounds, but instead is limited to tactile feedback -slight vibrations on your wrist. For many users, however, this is not enough: the vibrations are too gentle to wake them up.
In update 11.4, there will be a new option Break Through Silent Mode. You can enable it in the Sleep app on your Apple Watch by opening the Sounds & Haptics and activating the switch. The alarm will then use both sound and vibrations, even if other notifications remain silent.
You can also enable this option right in the Arm> Alarm -just select the active alarm and turn on the setting.
Alarm> Alarm Alarm.
In addition, watchOS 11.4 will add support for robot vacuum cleaners with Matter, as well as fix a bug that could cause the watch face selection interface to freeze when switching.
Apple has already released a release candidate of watchOS 11.4 for developers – this is the final version unless critical bugs are found. The update is expected to be available to all users in early April, as early as next week.
